Metropolitan Schoolhouse is committed to creating a vibrant and engaging program of field trips that enrich student learning beyond the classroom.

Each year features one major, multi-day trip that gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new environment, alongside a variety of smaller overnight and day trips throughout the year. These experiences are designed to deepen academic understanding while encouraging curiosity, independence, and strong peer connections.

Each year, students travel to memorable destinations such as San Antonio, Texas; Red Rock Canyon, Nevada; Iron Mountain, Michigan; Hot Springs, Arkansas as part of the school’s larger trip experience. In addition, students regularly participate in shorter overnight and day trips to locations across Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Illinois. These trips provide a balance of adventure, hands-on learning, and community-building, helping students gain confidence and create lasting memories.
